KID-APPROPRIATE KARTS AND GEAR

There are different karts available for kids and adults, ensuring kids are in a kart appropriate for their size. The karts at TeamKarting for children have several safety features, including seatbelts, a roll bar and 360-degree impact protection system. The engines are also smaller than adult ones, going at a slower speed. Children will also never race at the same time as adults.

SAFETY FIRST

The karts are built with safety at the forefront of design, but like all sports, there are still other elements to be observed on the track. Before setting off, there is a mandatory safety briefing conducted by one of our Track Officials, who will always be on hand to answer any questions or address any concerns. Track Officials are observant and know exactly what to watch for out on the track with a trained eye for racing safety.

How one performs on the track is still important and is key to climbing the racing career ladder. Many competitions offer cash prizes and even sponsorships which can see a quicker progression. Ultimately, it’s skill and dedication that brings success. FUN FOR ALL

Then it’s time for the action! Kids will love zooming around in their go-karts while parents look on. Track Officials will always be watching to ensure things are running smoothly and that everyone is having a blast.

The fun that’s to be had is inclusive too, and something for everyone to enjoy. Sandro, one of our track regulars who is living with autism, first started coming to our track when he was eight when his dad brought him to try something new. Now 11, he has progressed into a superstar at TeamKarting, even becoming an ambassador to help show others that anyone can enjoy karting.

Sandro said of his first time karting: “The staff are friendly and put you at ease. They are there to make sure that you have some fun and enjoy the experience of speed!”

Sandro’s dad said that he knew his son was interested in the sport but wanted to make sure that it was done in an appropriate, protective environment. He said: “Following on from Sandro’s love of all things wheels and the small electric ride-ons which he had now grown out of, we thought it would be best to let him have his first taste of the thrills of a real engine in the right environment, on purpose made equipment and wearing the right safety gear. Despite the excitement of go-karting, we noticed how at ease and calm Sandro was, and that was reassuring.
