At TeamKarting in Rochdale, junior drivers aged 8–14 get the thrill of real motorsport on the longest all-tarmac indoor track in the UK. No electric karts. No gimmicks. Just the roar of 160cc BIZ karts, petrol power, and proper cornering.
We’re proud to be one of the only venues in the North West still offering true racing conditions – perfect for young drivers from Rochdale, Manchester, Oldham, and beyond.
HOW IT WORKS
Step 1: Learn the Ropes
Start with the Junior Academy or a private coaching session to build essential racing skills, confidence, and track awareness.
Step 2: Practice, Practice, Practice
Book Arrive & Drive, Double Time or Triple Time sessions to enjoy high-adrenaline karting on our petrol-powered, all-tarmac track.
Step 3: Race for Real
Come to our regular junior sessions on a Saturday morning, Kids Club or Senior Cadets and race eachother around the track, pushing your lap times.
Step 4: Join the NWKC Championship
Ready to take it further? Enter the NWKC Indoor Karting Championship, our exclusive junior league where racers compete for points, prizes, and podiums, all in a structured, friendly environment designed for future stars.
Junior Arrive & Drive
160cc PETROL POWERED KARTS FOR 8 - 14 YEAR OLDS
Perfect for wannabe racing drivers, our junior arrive and drive sessions are for drivers that want to enjoy the thrill of racing without joining the academy.
Every session takes place on our full-tarmac indoor track with our 160cc petrol powered BIZ karts. No electric here.

Balaclavas & Gloves: You may bring your own gloves and balaclava / helmet. If you do not have your own, these can be purchased on site for £5.50 per set. You are then welcome to take these away to keep for your next visit. Arrival Time: You are expected to arrive on site 30 mins prior to your booked karting session time.
Junior Karting Academy
Monday afternoons from 5pm
Our Junior Academy builds confidence, skill and racecraft through progressive coaching and dedicated track time.
Each Junior Academy session consists of 2 x 15 minute on track sessions.
1 x Classroom session, covering subjects like overtaking, braking and racing lines.
Split into Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Senior Cadet.
Advanced Academy graduates are put through a Senior Cadet assement before being eligible to drive our 200cc Petrol Powered adult TB Karts.
